We are grateful to Drs Fred Meijer, RKD, for pointing us in the direction of Gortzius Geldorp. The artist was apprenticed from around 1570 to Frans Francken the Elder and Frans Pourbus the Elder in Antwerp. In 1579 he joined the retinue of the Duke of Ter
